Earl Stone, an old man left alone and green, is forced to face the early closure of his business, when he is offered a job for which the only ability to drive a car is required. A simple task, but what Earl does not know is that he has just agreed to become a drug carrier for a Mexican cartel. In his new job he is good, so good that his load becomes bigger and for this reason he is assigned an assistant. However, he is not the only one to keep an eye on Earl: the mysterious new “mule” of the drug also ended up in the radar of the efficient DEA agent, Colin Bates. And even if his problems of a financial nature belong to the past, his errors surface and become heavy in the head, leading him to wonder if he can remedy it before it gets caught by the law … or even someone from the cartel itself.
